Sale of Standing Teak Trees Mtibwa, Longuza and Muheza Forest Plantation

Tanzania Forest Services Agency (TFS) intends to sale standing teak trees with a total volume of 7,067.338 cubic meters grown at Mtibwa and Longuza Forest Plantations in Turiani, Morogoro Region and Muheza, Tanga Region respectively. A total volume of 2,111.516 and 4,955.822 will be sold from Longuza and Mtibwa forest plantations respectively. The standing teak trees which are grouped into felling couples will be sold through auction on 10th May, 2017 at 10.30 AM Mtibwa plantation and on 12th May 2017 at 10.30AM will be conducted at Longuza plantation. The negotiation will be carried out in accordance with the auctions procedures as stated under regulation 31(ii) in the Forest Regulation, 2004. The standing teak trees are sold as on “as is where is” basis and the selling entity shall have no further liability after the sales.
